Was it a good movie? Yeah. Was it a great movie? No. It surely doesn’t compare to the original. I felt the story was more about Jenna Ortega’s character than Beetlejuice. I felt the movie lagged for the first half. Then rushed in the second half. We didn’t need Justin’s character. I wish there was more development for Monica Belluci’s character. I felt they kinda did a disservice to Winona’s character, Lydia.

I just saw the movie last night. It was pretty decent. I heard some people didn’t like the message. What messages were they seeing? The movie is about finding yourself, being your own person, especially in a relationship, that nobody is perfect, that being ordinary is okay, and that you have to find your own meaning in life. Yes, it was a movie about female empowerment. Some people need to stop politicizing everything. I also didn’t find anything inappropriate about the movie to where kids can’t watch it. It’s no different than any kid movie released in the ‘90s. Regardless, it was a good film and I recommend it.

And Just Like That … it’s a big disappointment.

Something felt off to me. It was okay. The story kind of dragged for me. Then the ending seemed rushed. I was expecting more scenes with Cheetah. It was filled with too many cliches. For all the hype, delays, and anticipation for this move I was expecting much more.
