Disappointing, the writing and ideas were very good but I can’t help but feel the execution was poor. Perhaps Greek mythology is just not for me, but I can’t help feeling disappointed at the fact (spoiler), everyone just died in the end, the concept of hubris and “moral of the story” if you will, could’ve been illustrated in a much more concise manner(the book could’ve been shorter and made the same exact point). I just don’t understand the point of making it so elaborate just to present an ending that really only ended up making me personally, dislike the protagonists. It was the complete disregard for other human beings and devotion to the human being that maintains this disregard for me. Love at the expense of others is not the purest form of a soulmate connection in my option. This book is sad but not in a lost love way, in a way that everything just ended up being pointless in the end.
