The lack of common sense displayed by the characters is frustrating. 😅 The protagonist, despite her disability, is supposed to be resourceful, yet she makes decisions that often put her in unnecessary danger. The antagonist, on the other hand, is given an almost supernatural ability to track and manipulate people, which feels contrived. The film tries to build suspense, but the repetitive chase sequences and poor decision-making make it more frustrating than thrilling. While the performances, especially from the lead actress, are commendable, they aren’t enough to save the film from its predictable and often illogical storytelling. Overall, Midnight had potential but falls short due to weak character choices and an over-reliance on clichés. If you’re a fan of thrillers, there are far better options out there.
