Honestly this is a very good book. I have very minor complaints. I'm a big Danny Phantom fan so I'm just glad there's finally some new content with the franchise. I enjoyed the characters, they seemed well written and likeable. However I do have some issues. My first issue is with the ending. The ending essentially retconned the ending of the show which I didn't essentially appreciate. It just seemed to make the ending of the show pointless. My second issue is with the antagonists. They made Vlad and Phantom way too redeemable. In the show Vlad was always a self centered egotist and the ending of the show reflected that. So making him an unlikely protagonist was a bit of an odd choice but a slightly welcome one. However Phantom was another discussion. Within the television series he was an absolute monster. Who killed innocent people purely for sick pleasure. SoI didn't really appreciate how in the end he was just revealed as just afraid. However my main issue is that the book was both trying to appeal to both new and old fans of the franchise. However of the author reads this review I hope they know that I didn't hate the book. I just want the. To maybe take some more time next time and to keep writing these books as I really enjoyed the book and would like some more
