Very rich writing style. Absorbing plot. Finely wrought characters.
I had a much better experience reading this novel a second time. So many characters and so many points of view made it a challenge. The fact that each character's story was interrupted by the stories of two other characters in the seven-year intervals made it equally challenging.
Still, the challenges were well worth it. This is my book club pick, and these picks do not happen without much thought. I am hoping the other readers in my group find The Names as intriguing and rewarding as I do.
