Is it a good game? Yes.
Is it as good as SE 3 or SE4? No.
The sniping opportunities have been reduced heavily, making it more of a close quarters cross between Hitman and Call Of Duty.
The maps are massive but somehow incredibly restrictive with invisible walls the like of which we hadn't seen before in previous games.
The previous games had 1 season pass, this game had 2 season passes that gave a total of the same stuff as the single season pass from before.
The AI seems to have taken a step backwards and many people bemoan the replacement of the radio operator with alarms. I tend to agree.
SE4 didn't really improve the graphics all that much over SE3 and SE5 doesn't really improve the graphics over SE4. Probably because they are still insisting on supporting old consoles. SE5 could easily have been a DLC for SE4 and no one would have noticed.
It's like they tried to inject some realism but them removed some other realism and it didn't quite work. Considering it was released 2 years late, I'm surprised it wasn't far better and more polished.
I'm hoping it was more of a "that'll do" whilst they work on SE6 for the newest consoles only.
