As a die-hard fan of The Hunger Games, if felt like this movie got the job done and was a great addition to this fantastic series. I had reread the book the day before I saw it in theaters and felt and wished that the movie would have better portrayed Snow's gradual descent into madness (my biggest issue with the movie as it seemed more sudden because of the way that all the movies in this series lacked first-person narration). Regardless, the casting and the acting of this movie were amazing. In my honest opinion, the people rating this movie specifically lower because of the amount of time Lucy Gray sings either did not take a close enough look at the title of the movie or have not read the book. The music in this movie was absolutely spectacular and personally as someone who read the books left me wanting more of her songs as it was breathtaking. Can't rate Half stars on Google, but would definitely rate 4.5 out of 5 and cant recommend it enough if you have read the book.
