This film is the best depitcion of how hard life was in that time period. Also, to address the issue of mental illness along with the the harshness of those who had to do whatever it took to survive, was just explicit and shocking to me. I've viewed many films of various themes from that time in the old west, but none such as blistering as this. Hillary Swank and TL Jones, could only pull this off. I'm sure they were both spent after such a physical and emotional workload.

Wow, the soft spoken, monotone Gosling, was incredible to watch. I mean after the opening scene, he didn't speak for 15 minutes into the film. This guy is intense. I first saw him in '02 with Sandra Bullock in a film " Murder by Numbers" and thought this kid's gonna have a long career in Hollywood. He has worked his craft and is a great actor. The flik itself was well cast, full of great visuals, awesome music, and just all around gripping. I loved it. I understand it got a standing ovation@ the Cannes Film Festival. Now I know why.

REVIEW: The Whole Truth 2016 Keanu was 51 when he made this film, and anyone who knows anything about his career and his defining moment in his movie career ( Matrix ) knows that after a 5 year stint filming that trilogy, disappeared to probably rest and enjoy life for awhile. I do know that some actors after huge success, take their time to read scripts that they may like to be involved in. Therefore, why Reeves opted to do this lackluster, boring movie, is a head scratcher. It's just so beneath his skill set, that one has to wonder why. Be that as it may, watch his movie Knock Knock, and you'll see Keanu in a different role well worth the ride. And we all know about John Wick. So carry on because "You are the One, Neo"

WOW, this flik is one of the best films I've viewed in some time. Don't know how I missed it in 2017 when released, as I watch many films a week. The casting is great as I enjoy Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis and props to Timmy Blake Nelson, who is always fun to watch. The writing and storyline is very real for those who get it, so great job Nacho Vigalondo! A must see movie. Enjoy Sidenote: I loved when Gloria's air mattress went flat, cause that's what they do, for real.
