Beautiful, emotional, and tragic. By far one of the best movies I've ever watched. The lighting, costumes, and masterful writing make this a goth masterpiece. When you watch, you will find yourself rooting for Eric Draven the entire time. He is so badass, and even through his anger and sadness, he still keeps a kind heart for others. Justice served cold, each death giving the villains a taste of their own medicine, one by one. It makes the film all the more meaningful when you learn about its origins. Truly inspiring. Very tragic what happened to Brandon Lee on set. 💔 RIP... Having the movie still release after his death is exactly what he would have wanted. Watched together with my spouse (their favorite movie), and I cried at least twice. As I sat next to them, I felt myself relating to Eric's and Shelly's undying love, and knowing that I would do the same for my love. 🖤 New favorite film.

Absolute garbage movie. I could not finish it. I'm giving two stars only because some of the humor was funny, but most of it was just senseless vulgar nonsense. With her buildup, you expect the female lead to be a strong and independent character, but she falls weak for the anchorman so easily. Where did her strong and resistant personality at the party go? Or when she first started her new job? And when he blatantly told everyone on TV that they were dating when she explicitly told him not to, did she act on it? No, she just bickered at him for a short moment then went right back to melting for him. Absolutely no defense for her dream career because apparently a man is more important..... I was watching it with my mother and we paused the film after the dog got punted off a bridge (which was not funny, but I laughed from the shock factor of it) because my sister called, and we never finished after that because we couldn't be bothered.
