I binged the entire 10 episodes and personally found it extremely interesting. The cast is good with a young bright crew that is emotional slightly immature like our current generation. Emotions play a critical role in this series as we see how an alien group tries to understand and exploit any weaknesses to their advantages but as the human psyche is so complex they have some problems. What makes us human how far AI can be developed and aid humans, what is black matter, what does a Morius mean and at the core a strong female lead with a loving family left on earth as she pilots a diplomatic mission to the planet where the sign seems to have originated. Most reviews seem to have not seen the entire series so discount them as this is more than they have understood.

In an age where genetic is common place we have an entertaining series which raises some rather interesting questions. Recalling how artificial insemination was done with a test tub( and still may be for all know ) the idea of creating enhanced beings is not inconceivable and cloning has certainly begun to be practiced on embryos. Medical ethics aside we still need to consider the social relationships and their importance in any social structure. Today there seems to be situation where people are more addicted to their iPads or iPhones than each other and emotions are real or practiced via the internet. So my personal opinion is that it is an interesting show with good acting, direction and fair script. Like the concept and if there is a second season I will watch.
