NOTE: 4 stars because it was her first.
I believe she chose the right script and theme/topic for her directorial debut – as well as her focus on bringing in new actors to an aging 'n failing Hollywood.
Ignore the fuddy-duddy critics...they have totally missed then entire concept, and had probably rated Rob Reiner & Kathy Bates "Misery" movie as a 10/10.
'Please Don't Feed The Children' was a masterpiece compared to "Misery."
I don't care for sci-fi-horror-tinged thrillers and/or Zombies, but watched this one because it was Destry Spielberg's directorial debut. Am betting she reached her targeted audiences—PLUS she had this 79 yo white male reviewing it and giving her 4 stars.
Here future is extremely bright - not because of who her father is - but because of the thought and hard work she put into it...
