Spoilers not mentioned: I had this book assigned to me for my English class. Honestly this entire story was a nothing-burger: no meat or cheese; nothing. The ending was literally a snooze fest, I fell asleep reading from boredom. Not to mention the metaphors relating to fire every other sentence. I cannot believe this is considered “a classic” or “amazing.” If I wrote this book for an assignment my English teacher she would’ve failed me. I don’t understand how I’m supposed to write about this book when there’s nothing to be pationate about, books like this are what make reading and learning not fun. You can tell this book was written in 9 days. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone, and that’s coming from me, a psychology/English professor in the making.
