This game was fun in the beginning. Two wipes ago this game stopped working for most Xbox players (regardless whether it was a Series X or older). This most recent game wipe (May 2022) didn’t fix this at all. Communication with devs or mods on their discord is dismissive at best. We have been told to upgrade to a Series X and when we told them that’s what we are playing on, they told us to upgrade to a computer. That’s their answer to their game crashing on people. In addition to this, when we are able to get on, we can’t use many of the game’s features. For example, any of the gathering units or warehouse system. Larger companies are able to get to islands and gather resources after a wipe more quickly than smaller-maybe 10 people-companies. This means if you can find a place to build a base, you won’t be able to put down any gathering units and you won’t be able to trade with other players in the warehouse and market. Lastly, and probably most importantly, if you are one that gets kicked all the time, sailing is out of the question. Which is the point of the game. You can’t sail because you’ll get kicked pulling into every island and often your ship crashes and sinks. Devs keep adding content, but most can’t play it due to Dev’s inability (or desire) to fix the game at its core so people can actually stay logged into it long enough to even see all their add on junk. This game was/is a waste of money. You will only be buying frustration and disappointment.
