I've played every Assassin's Creed game and I'm a fan of the series. I was obviously looking forward to this coming out especially after Valhalla which was an incredible game. This game is ok but it doesn't touch the ranks of Valhalla in my opinion. The game mechanics are bad, the climbing and fighting feels almost glitchy and not natural whatsoever especially in comparison to other Assassin's Creed games. The guards are insanely aggressive in this game even in you aren't standing in a red zone but you are in their line of sight they will attack and kill you which is an easy 3 hits for them. I personally am also disappointed in the map size as it feels small in comparison to Valhalla, Origins, etc. I like the story where we get to see Basim become initiated into the Hidden Ones and how they get the eagle. I don't like the giant lack of Animus backstory. Every game has had a cool Animus backstory and so far this one has literally nothing and I'm like halfway through the game! So overall will I finish the game? Of course. But this game leaves me feeling like there are things missing/wanting more. I hope the next one really knocks it out of the park.
