Four stars ease for accessibility, as it provides a survey of our beloved Romans & a cursory overview that is a good start for many, especially those without extensive background on the topics. That said, I take critical issue with a few points she presents as accepted fact, when there are strongly valid points to contend her opinion as erroneous on a few issues (some impactful, some minor). Overall a good supplement, or start, to any student of Rome, but not the definitive authority I’d hoped for.
