I found the first two movies brilliant and there was a clear point to both of them but I felt very disconnected from this third instalment. The storyline seemed pointless and there was no linkage at all to the second movie which had a clear point in terms of the second outbreak, the discovery of individuals with immunity from the virus and therefore the possibility of a cure and, of course, the virus reaching mainland Europe. Yet there was no continuance of these storylines. The infected starved to death after a period of time so how are there still infected in Britain and those with mutations when the infected died out with no source of food? The third instalment doesnโt make sense in the light of the revelations in the first two movies. Perhaps the next instalment may โshed some lightโ.
The cinematography and acting was excellent but the storyline was lacking. This film lacked momentum and really didnโt seem to have a significant point other than confusion for those that watched the first two movies. Very disappointing although well shot.
