Patty Jenkins was able to take all the empowerment of the first WW and turn it into a movie about a sad spinster who pines for her lost love and plays mall cop in her spare time. WW is sad, emotional, weak, indecisive, and boring. Nothing like the previous WW installment where Gadot is fierce and powerful. Opting to scrap the sword and shield, because that’s too violent, they go with a strange gold bird suit that she keeps conveniently in her hall closet. It was campy, dull and a huge disappointment. The only bright spots being the Amazonian Olympic style event and the brief 80s humor of Chris Pines character. Jenkins, with WW84 was able to spend $200M to make a movie suitable for the hallmark channel.
