This is Sandra Brown's best written book, hands down. From the salty prologue to the unexpected plot twist ending, I was completely entranced with the characters that were written with such color and yet are so relatable. Every page, every turn of the storyline hooked me to keep reading, not so I can reach the end, but because I wanted to learn more about the characters' machinations with feverish intrigue. Her choice of words was genius, written purely for reverberance on the mind. This was a world I was happy to sink into and was almost devastated when the last page was turned because I so wanted the story to continue.
I was upset we never got to know the real title of "that book", but after years of re-reading Envy, I now understand why Brown left that part to the readers' imagination.
