I , as some others, was bothered by the historical inaccuracies. However, the movie is so wonderful, and the man's story needs to be known! I can forgive most of the rendering of history used to forward the plot. But I do wish there had been a more accurate presentation of his family history--even perhaps a bit about his early years in the Caribbean. The opening scene is of course pure fancy. But what a wonderful fancy it was to see those two actor/musicians (Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Joseph Prowen) battle it out with each other. Harrison says that Bologne and Mozart were the rock musicians of their time, and he likened the violin duel to a guitar duel between Hendrix and Clapton. I recommend this movie.
