Terrific book on a number of levels. It reminds those of us who did not experience the ubiquitous suppression of women in the 1950s-1960s. It gave readers an unflappable heroine. Thanks to the author for giving us humor, lessons of all sorts, and things to reflect on as we go about our days, 50 years later. And I love Elizabeth's tagline, "set the table, children. Your mother needs a moment to herself." We still do/.
