I'm seeing a lot of cut and paste fake reviews. This review section is gamed by sock puppets and bad actors. Note none of them give specifics about the movie. I will: Friends, the TV show, is central to the plot in a truly quirky and creepy way. I won't call this the best apocalypse movie since Dr Strangelove, but it's a very good movie. Kept me and my wife at the edge of our seats. Super creepy, slow burn, and a little movie. By that I mean, it's character driven and not a huge blockbuster. Performances were all very well done, the writing is tight, and it ends ambiguously, without clear resolution, leaving you wondering what will happen next. Like The Sopranos. Remember that? Yeah, you do. And to those who actually saw it and hated the ending and gave a bad review... you know what? Fair enough. You saw it and formed your own opinion. At least you aren't one of these sock puppet masses, copying the same fake review over and over. Who does that anymore? Like even ChatGPT could generate original fake negative text. 2012 tech wants its cheap Internet trolling back. Upshot: hate bomb on this film is utterly fake and overblown. Will everyone love it? Probably not. Is it genuinely well made? Yes. And given some of of the message in it about disinformation, rather prescient.
