You don't fear for the protagonist ( The Kids ) as much from this angle of story telling because of knowing they are mostly synthetic machines for bodies, but you still fear for them because they are kids and very nieve to the gravity of these deadly situations, they aren't vulnerable but they forget everything else is still. I was interested in seeing how their bodies would fare against the attack of a Xenomorph, seeing the fact a Xeno can shred through metal almost like it's nothing. My only gripe with it so far was the awkward timing for cutting the episode. We expect something devastating to happen usually, then a close up of the reaction of the character, and then cut. In both episodes it very much felt like it wanted to take cinematic approach to the endings.
