Wow! Can Marvel/Disney get any worse. The Inhumans, Clock and Dagger, The Runaways, and now Ms. Marvel as the latest epic flop train. There's a reason why Rotten Tomatoes has become a negative, laughing joke of a meme. Too many that actually think they are professional movie reviewers, but are either paid off, or aren't very critical in their own reviews, or just pandering to a specific group. How can this show have better ratings than the other Marvel shows, when it had the least premiere views. Under a million. That is a fact. The audience has spoken by not watching this show, so how did it get such a good rating? Something is very off here. How else could a show this bad get fresh 98%. For me there is not any wiggle room on how bad this is. This is what happens when Marvel/Disney try to make a Pakistani Bollywood movie, that sucks even with Bollywood standards. They completely changed the origin story, the powers were lame, unconvincing Bollywood style corny optimism. Any relation to the original Ms. Marvel comic was forced on it's audiences for cheap exciting connection to the original character that either didn't make any sense, or was out of place. I don't pretend to be good at reviews, but I feel I have to speak up when the so called professionals completely missed the mark with this show. Where is their integrity? I had to force myself to watch it, mostly to know its connection to the MCU. It was a chore to get through it due to how lame the writing was, how overly superficial sentimentalism over shadowed the Ms. Marvel story. It's great that there is a Muslim superhero, and at first I thought seeing a Marvel hero from a Pakistani perspective was interesting, but it drowned out the show, instead of uplifting the complexity of being a Muslim superhero. It was way too much. This show did not do the Muslim viewpoint any justice, and was so completely drowned in Pakistani origin back story, that I was confused in what I was watching. Was it a Pakistan documentary, wanna be Bollywood show/movie? It certainly wasn't Marvel. This same actor that is Kamala Khan, same lame powers, is going to be in Marvels? Even the obvious pandering to a Gen Z generation was overly forced that was very corny and superficial. Half the time I could not even understand what the Ms. Marvel actor was saying, and had to turn on the subtitles. She is bad, along with her co-actors. All she brings to the screen is cute, optimistic bubbleness, but fails at being a decent actor in her own right. I have always been a critic of the CW DC shows, but they are Academy award contenders compared to this obvious fail. I am a hardcore Marvel fan of the comics, for a long time before the MCU. I enjoy most of the stuff that Marvel/Disney has been doing with it's shows and movies, but this was just so bad, and embarrassing. I really don't understand what they were thinking. What was wrong with the comic book origin story of Ms. Marvel? Why were her powers extremely changed, and made her a Jinn instead of an inhuman? Any of the original story was forced in uncomfortably like her super hero suit. Instead of a quality show, they pandered to the lowest class audience like Bollywood does, and that is NOT a good thing.
