amazing movie. depicts the whole situation in an unsettling way, definitely not a feel good movie—but it is genuinely one of the best movies i think ive seen. the 1993 movie “Alive” is nothing compared to this. some of the situations are underwhelming and the cannibalism is not as big of a part as it should be. the acting in alive, compared to society in the snow, is struggling. the actors display emotion and panic well in society in the snow, as it seems very genuine. the scenes are also very gripping and disturbing, which just makes the movie even better. also, to people asking why they didn’t light a fire…in the real story, they did. there’s an excerpt somewhere from Nando about how they burnt all paper money and there was little material to light on fire. they couldn’t burn clothes, or luggage, because they were needed for survival. but this movie is a must see for everyone at the appropriate age.
