I absolutely loved the film - great acting from everyone. It was great to understand the context and background to the songs. It's good to highlight mental health conditions too and it's a tearjerker in the final scenes. I highly recommend this film.

I watched the film tonight and I found the drama to be mesermizing, even though the subject matter was very hard-hitting and gritty. Themes of child neglect, drugs & alcohol abuse was prevalent. I felt that the lonely 12 year Bailey needed to make some true connections with someone - this was the character Bird. They had an unbroken bond as they found each other. Bird was Bailey's hero and he came to her rescue. The final scene was very emotive and touching. It was clearly a 'coming of age' film. I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this film to everyone. A must watch.
