I never watched this show when it first came out in 1998. I started watching it beginning to the end on Netflix. I could not wait to see what happens in the next episode. The further I got into the series, it started to get annoying. Joey and Dawson’s relationship reeked havoc on everyone else’s life. Joey, strung Dawson a long with her words and constantly going to him when bad things happen. The whole show centered around them, which I believe was the intent. However, their relationship caused pain constantly for everyone else. I was glad to see her ending up with Pacy. Joey just became the poor me, and Dawson was pathetically irritating, chasing Joey like a sad puppy.
