I wasn't sure what to expect of Rocketman after watching Bohemian Rhapsody, a film I absolutely love, mainly for the music, unfortunately the facts of Freddie Mercury's life both personal with his family and relationships was a little embellished to say the least. So Rocketman was so unexpected, I totally loved this film!
Taron played Elton so well. And to those that bothered to stay and watch the movie will look beyond the 'self-pity' and see what one man had to endure from the people we expect to unconditionally love us, our parents and even those that we put our trust in. The film showed a raw honesty that I wasn't expecting after Bho Rhap.
Yes it's a sad story but sometimes life sucks! This is a story of triumph and pure fight. And Elton's strength to get through the pain and beat it. More over like Freddie Mercury he put his heart into his music too and has given us some fantastic music to remember him by. He's one of Britain's greatest showman and deserves all the credit he's earned. I remember his music in the 70's & 80'S and certainly had star quality. Brilliant film! worth every toe-tapping moment!
