Really excited to see the first live action version of HG Wells war of the worlds. Was with them right up until the first words were spoken. Really disappointed that litterally everything was slightly different from the book, with absolutely no obvious good reason. Why change the date so very slightly? I hated everything about it. It looked and felt like a feature length doctor who episode without any humour. How much time and money spent on making not war of the worlds? Just make an original scifi series there are thousands of amazing ideas out there. Look at "Dust"! Or love sex and robots! This couldn't have been more dissapointing if it starred Tom Cruse and the martians came out of the ground instead of from mars.
