I really enjoyed this film adaptation, big fan of the stage show and the original score, not entirely sure why all the negative reviews? If you turn up to watch this and have no clue about the original plot then I can see why people leave thinking this is odd, but the musical is an all time classic and this film is a damned good attempt at bringing ALW's conception to the big screen. My only negative is that Jennifer Hudson's version of Memory falls a bit flat, but if you are a fan of the stage show then there is definitely enough to make you smile and sing along.
