I read this book to my kinder class. Surprising how many students have never heard the classic telling of a fairy tale. This one has a simple structure and accessible vocabulary for contemporary children but still retains a fairy tale feeling. Great read-aloud and the pictures reinforce the patterns with the thoughtful color repetition.
