For Anglophiles this series holds up as a fun, interesting and fairly gratifying watch. At times somewhat overly stylized, yet the lead acting keeps episodes grounded in the almost believable. Remember that you’re watching a prequel that purports to foreshadow Batman and not a crime documentary, then relax with your popcorn and you should enjoy this a lot.
