Being a long time fan of the original NCIS, I really want to like this show. The Franks and Gibbs story is really interesting. But, the supporting characters are just too annoying. On one hand there's is the female agent named Dominguez, who is just annoying. Not only does she have a large chip on her shoulder, she is incompetent. In one episode, she berates Gibbs for pulling his gun on some rough looking guys who were being combative after one of the guys made a quick move to his glove box. She chastised Gibbs because she thought he was protecting her because she's a woman. Which is just insane, if I was on a traffic stop and my backup perceived something that I didn't and they didn't react to protect me, I would be pissed. She's just too blind by her need to be in power and her belief that she is being held back because of her gender. She just loses all of her purported professionalism. The other guy, is so forgetful that I can't even remember his characters name. He has absolutely no depth and is just the whipping boy of Franks and doesn't appear to have anything he can bring to the table.

Kind of reminds me of a Bellisario show on par with classics such as Magnum PI. The main character has an interesting back story, that is being slowly developed. Although the tortured rugged main character has been played out many times before, it's still good to see how humans can overcome horrible circumstances to be morally good.
