I am from Wisconsin (71 yrs old). I grew up knowing about this and checked all the events in this series using AI. MOST of it is fiction and conjecture. About the only factual pieces are about what he did. The parts of about his "girlfriend", the German Nazi. the cop beating him up at the arrest, the house used as a museum and more are all BS.

Of all the thousands of police procedurals and mysteries I have watched this was the worst I have ever seen. Never mind the fact that there were so many stories happening at once that it was hard to keep track of what was connected to what or were they all disconnected? Watching one episode a week didn't help either unless one was taking notes. I finally found a place where the ending was explained. A waste of talented actors who I have enjoyed in many other films.
