Sam Hasler

I read Kyd for Hire when it came out. I re-read it over the years. I also read the second Thomas Kyd novel. I thought Harris had created a new LA private detective to follow in the steps of Raymond Chandler and RoSS MacDonald. I still think he is closer to Macdonald than to Chandler. My only regret there were only three Kyd novels, no movies, and it remains a neglected work of detective fiction.
