Qala is a movie that will stay with you after it is done. Tripti is hands down the best actor in Bollywood currently. She was made to be qala. Basil has a calming and haunting presence in the middle of the turmoil. Swastika is perfect as the mother who is disappointed in life. Anvita Dutt and team has once again come out with a beautiful movie. Qala is such an important take on mental health which comes from nurture rather than nature, with layers of social commentary on the gender scale. A special shout-out to Amit Trivedi and the team to transport the audience to the era when music was live, whether recorded or performed. A movie after ages where the music/ songs adds to the story telling and becomes essential to the story. Lovely, beautiful and personally the best movie to come out of Bollywood in the past few years and just maybe for a few more ahead. Qala is a must watch!
