I love Eddie Murphy and have read where he wants to stand outside of the “religious categories” but said he has Christian values and beliefs, but this film started with a sign that says “Jesus” at the very beginning but quickly tore down credibility by renouncing Jesus the messiah after about 15 minutes. Woke points->unsuccessful father chasing wishful thinking, mother becomes main supporter, and children revere mother as the authority of the house. White man is bad and black man is good. Why racially divide? I’m Hispanic and see it plain as day. Maybe I’m wrong, but maybe I’m not? lol. I hate to review a film negatively and normally leave it be but this points children and teens to the wrong points of what Christmas is about.
