Didi was a movie i had high hopes for and it slightly dissapointed me on the pacing for the movie but the performances in this are insane and the writing is exceptional. Didi deeply resonated with me on a personal level because im 17 and this movie perfectly encapsulates what being a teenager is like especially heading into highschool and your friend group slowly breaks apart and they dont hang with you anymore in favor of their girlfriends or parties and just the general feeling of everyone kind of being your friend but not having any close friends and then taking out on your family because you dont know what to do. The movie is spot on with the language, descisions, and awkwardness of growing up. I feel for Chris because I see a lot of myself in him and the film definitely lives up to its tagline. It feels like a movie I’d make about my own life which is the best compliment I could give it. 10/10
