Scorsese had the opportunity to tell an important story and now fewer people will know about it because of the monotonous, drawn-out delivery. We made the mistake of going with six of us. As far as technical cinematic quality Scorsese is still the best but the story is lost in the snail's pace. Do read the book and learn about what happened to the Osage.

Slow, uneventful, formulaic, twistless, and thick. No hope for anyone who hasn't seen the whole series to get into it. I thought this would be the story of how Tony "made his bones" when Black gangsters muscled into the rackets. It's really more the story of Dickie Moltisanti with just enough Tony to keep one watching. Wasted effort.
