This movie had a lot of potential but I’m sorry to say I am left very disappointed. If you are a fan of the mortal kombat universe then you should feel the same. The beginning was good and this is why I say it had a lot of potential, the backstory between scorpion and sub-zero was great. After that however I lost interest and found myself just waiting for it to be over. First off the dialogue was horrible , I started playing a game to where found myself replacing dialogue that was more fitting. Next The movie was extremely rushed which ended up giving zero value to the characters. The plot post the back story of the ryu and Lin origins was complete garbage, nothing even made sense and there was not actual tournament. Then how the main character suddenly started ordering everyone around as soon as he got his powers was complete stupidity , I don’t even know what that was about. While the movie did have some nice fight scenes and cool effects it did not suffice to overlook the actual story. I really hope they don’t make a second one and they remake this one, even the games gave us a better cinema experience. I never thought I would say this but the original mortal kombat movie was better than this 😞
