Philip Holcombe

I've read reviews of "Threads" telling of how it's the scariest movie they've seen. I do not feel this way. Threads is too obvious and in your face to be that scary as scary as it is. On The Beach is absolutely HORRIFYING! State aided and sanctioned suicide? The citizens of Melbourne killing themselves right and left? Lt. Holmes and Mrs. Holmes euthanising Jennifer, their infant child? It's horrendous the way everyone was doing all this stuff with such a sense of denial as to how awful was!! But that's my opinion.

Though it was a marvelously sensual film, the acting ability of the lead actors was marginal.
