I went on to watch it cause I thought it would be a family movie. It was. However, never in my wildest dreams would have I thought that some idiots can covert Ramayana in a sequence of never ending, poorly made, video game scenes with tones and tonnes of expendable CGI characters. Cinematography was closer to Resident Evil than Hindu Mythology. Everything was dark, even Lanka. So ‘video gamish’ is the movie that you wouldn’t find yourself emotionally invested even for a moment. In the movie, Ram doesn’t inspire faith, Laxman solidarity, Hanuman Loyalty, Ravan awe or Sita adoration. This is a mumble jumble of poor VFX with poorest acting and forgettable characters.

A refreshing family entertainment. I haven’t seen such an immaculately written, meticulously directed, and realistically acted movie in a long time.
