Honestly, I almost gave this series a five stars.
But I can’t.
When I first started this series, it was amazing. Everything Tui described was gripping, entertaining, it kept me flying through the series. I LOVED this series, and I’m not lying to you.
However, there comes a point where this author made a little flaw to throw off her rating.
I have to admit, the first arc is thge best arc. Nothing else to say. But when it came to the second one, I started to not like it as much as I thought I would.
I am not saying that I completely despise of LGBTQ things, but as it went on, Tui kept on putting in more and more of it, especially in the third arc, where the Poison Jungle book could basically be called a romance between two female dragons. There is barely any action to keep it going, and I can’t stand it. Please, overall, if you are excited to read the series, stick with the first arc and stop if you don’t accept these things. As much as I would rather not have them in there though, I still got through the series with a three stars hanging on. I strong recommend it for people who love Warriors too.
There is one thing to mention though. If you are not a fan of gore, violence, or any sort of death-related thing, you have to be a little wary of the books. There are many scenes and some characters who deliberately ENJOY killing dragons. I mean, I get it’s a war, but really? This is for a mature audience, defiantly.
Anyways, happy reading!!!!
