Very poor. Two dimensional characters and poor pacing with inconsistent acting. The subject and subject matter is interesting but this film missed the mark by a mile. Give it a miss.

Clunky and stuttering but with some interesting and engaging scenes. As with many Spike Lee films, subtlety and nuance are not present here. The film could have been so much more but was generally an uninteresting collection of historical atrocities that were taken out of context. Generally a poor film.

Just don't bother wasting your time with this. It starts well enough but then just becomes dull, almost as if Netflix is deliberately trying to get as many pointless episodes in as they possibly can. Season 1 is ok(ish) but it quickly degenerates to 2 dimensional characters and clichéd settings. The dialogue is wooden and fails to build any tension whatsoever. Having read some of the 5 reviews I struggle to agree with them in any way, shape or form.
