I don’t read anything (reviews, summaries, etc) about a book when I am about to read it. Consequently, this book was rather confusing for a good chunk of it. I ultimately had to look up some reviews of the book to realize that the random stories appearing through the main story are segments or episodes of a serial. I didn’t like that.
