Fast travel GALORE. It’s like Skyrim but instead of walking from quest to quest you go through menu after menu. They made a brand new Bethesda world that is empty, lifeless, forgettable, and is missing a world to explore.
You don’t actually fly from planet to planet, you get in your ship (cutscene), take off (cutscene), open up the planetary map, click X to travel to current mission, fast travel (cutscene), you are now at your mission.
Great for people with the attention span of a goldfish and want to jump to every single mission instantly. But I like exploring the world I’m in as I travel from mission to mission.
New Atlantis is very big, but it’s horribly empty. It feels like an empty city. For its size and lore you’d expect to see more than a few dozen people in the subway/downtown area. Also, I’ve forgotten all the names of the characters and I beat this game last week. The entire game is so forgettable that I actually forgot what planet New Atlantis is on 4 times throughout my playthrough.
We need to start being honest with these reviews if we ever want good games. Starfield is a disgusting cash grab from a company that’s been on the decline.
Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Witcher 3 I can feel good about paying $80 for.. Starfield doesn’t deserve any more than $30.
