I don't usually write reviews online, but I have so much to say about this film that I just couldn't contain myself! Let's first start with the main characters, complete opposites. Both high school boys, who attend an all-male school. When I first started the movie, I honestly didn't expect much, I expected to drop it, expecting there to be over-sexualization surrounding minors. I believed that solely on the fact that there are so many films that seem to over-sexualized young relationships, but my oh my was I wrong. This movie is able to take you through the ups and downs of young love, y'know all the misunderstandings! I believe this film is gorgeous, whether it be the soundtrack, the art style, or just the characters themselves. These characters hold so much depth to them, and they are just overall very relatable! This story just felt so realistic, it wasn't overly dramatic and it had all the petty fights included with first relationships. Sajou and Kusakabe were able to take me on an unforgettable journey, with laughs and tears shed. Unlike many other stories, this film left me fulfilled, without the question of "Will there be a sequel?" I must say, no other film has left me pondering on it for as long as this one has. 10/10 and 100% recommended!
