I hesitated to watch this suspecting the trashing of Catholics as many Hollywood films do, but I didn’t feel that way. It was interesting even if they did feel a need to bring conservative (bad guy of course) against liberal (good guys of course). It is Hollywood after all. Even though I didn’t care for the twist at the end, I did like the new Pope saying he decided against the surgery, because God made him the way he is. Be grateful with what God gave you and don’t feel you need to correct it. It’s perfect. I did laugh when Finnes asked, “is this what weve come to? The least of the worst?” I’ve pretty much felt that the past 3 elections. 😂 The movie was entertaining but I wouldn’t say I would use it as an education tool on conclaves.

I liked it. The cast was great although I thought Kathy’s accent was a bit exaggerated. Being in the Midwest and knowing both people in Chicago and Milwaukee (married the Milwaukee guy) I never met anyone with accents quite that hard. Entertaining movie and fun. It brought back some memories. Well done but not great. Then again I could watch Hardy in just about anything.
