Just watched paatal lok season 1 and it is an excuse of a show to spread stereotypes and hate against Hindus, gaslight, and intensify caste divide. Avoid this show. Watch something created by people who aren't bigots and actually care about religious peace and equality. If you are a hindu hater then this series will fill you with joy but while you grin watching this series, please know that YOU are the problem. YOU are the kind of person who promotes religious hatred. Enjoy, hater.

I started, I saw 'Vir Das' in the cast list, I turned off the show. Not sure if I would call him a pretentious wannabe, a non-original-thinking-borrowed-opinions kind who is lusting after the clout or an opportunistic w**re. But what I am sure about is that his 'acting face' looks like he is holding a fart. Anyways, it is probably clear that I would not give my time of the day to this show because based on who the makers have casted, I am pretty sure they are not impressive as well.

Story seems okay but the makers (Posham Pa productions) have sprinkled unnecessary anti-Hindu hatred throughout the series. For example, in second episode (around 16 mins 30 secs into the ep) - one character narrates a story about someone named 'Sanatan' and the other characters go on to say that 'ye Sanatan to bada ungalbaaj hai'. Was this necessary? Sanatan is the name of a belief system followed by a huge population in India and around the world - what is the need to insult it in this way? Its not even funny. They could have chosen a different name of the character. Will the makers find it funny to name a character 'Islam' and then call it names? Will they ever name a character that they are going to verbally abuse as 'Catholic'? This is disgusting as these spineless pests (makers) dare to use their 'freedom of speech' for launching distasteful humor against only soft target such as Sanatana dharma. They should be put to justice for spreading religious hatred and ostracizing a community in the name of entertainment.
