TV series is OK if you like soap operas - BUT the books are so much better! The series has twisted many of the characters away from the way they are in the books. They also added a few new characters, killed off a few, and what they did with Hope and Doc's roles is almost criminal. Definitely pandering to what they think will attract more viewers rather than make a really good story as in the books. They should take a hint from the Jack Reacher TV series which showed that what made the books so good also made for excellent TV.
