Too long, too wordy, too sexualized. Beautiful production values and settings, but the 1922 original is far superior. I heard Willem Dafoe on a radio interview say it was time to put the scary back in vampires; sadly, a hangnail holds more terror for me than this movie did. Not one shiver or chill to be had, and Bill Skarsgard as Orlock could not hold a candle to Max Schreck, beyond doubt the most terrifying vampire in the entire movie genre. When the movie ended I heard laughter from the audience, not what you want from what is supposed to horrify, not amuse; you have been warned.

The dinosaur were great, they deserve five stars. The story was moronic, the acting tepid, and the series of absurd coincidences designed to push the story forward insults the viewer's intelligence.
